Add a task, your way.

Task types, schedules, reminder profiles, attachments and templates.

Create your first task

  1. Open Today and tap the + button. Choose Medications, Appointments, Laboratory tests, Exercises, Procedures, Vaccinations, Prevention or Other.
  2. Enter a name. A name containing only spaces is not valid. Add a note and a custom category if you need them.
  3. Set the start date and time, recurrence and reminder profile, then tap Add.

Details that fit the task

Medication fields include dosage, unit and route. An appointment can include the doctor, specialty and location. A laboratory test can include its name, fasting information and preparation notes.

Exercises support a type and duration. Procedures have a type. Vaccinations support a vaccine name, dose number, total doses and an interval to the next dose. Enter medical details from your prescribed plan.

Choose a schedule

Choose Once, Daily, Weekly, Every two weeks, Monthly, Every two months, Quarterly, Every six months, Yearly or Custom. A custom interval is 1–365 days, weeks or months. Recurring tasks can have an end date.

Medication tasks show time rows. Use Add time to add another daily time, and the minus button to remove one. Other task types use a single scheduled time.

Choose a reminder profile

The task form offers reminders at the scheduled time, 15 minutes before, one hour before or one day before. The 15-minute and one-hour profiles also include a reminder at the scheduled time.

Attach a photo or PDF

  1. In Attachments, choose a photo from the library, take a photo when the camera is available, or choose a PDF from Files.
  2. The attachment appears in the task. In task details, its row opens the system share sheet. Sharing sends that file to the destination you choose.
  3. To remove an attachment, edit the task and swipe the attachment row to delete it.

Reuse a template

Use the template button at the top of the task form to apply a saved preset. Save a filled form as a template when you expect to use similar details again. Attachments and a new start date are not copied as part of the template.
